OUR

STORY

The symbol associated almost intrinsically to love remains still today the heart. This simple symbol has become so ingrained in our visual culture and accepted as a social norm that we seem to never take the time to think about its significance and meaning in our lives or question whether it is still appropriate for contemporary definitions of love.

Is the outdated use of this symbol a reflection of our antiquated approach to love and relationships?

When it comes to love and our rapidly changing ideas about its forms and boundaries, what do we consider the objects that capture this modernity? What collection of objects can relate to the modern familial and platonic love or gay, lesbian, transexual and heterosexual relationships and most importantly modern self love. Even the love of clothes, technology, places and how the ever changing context of these items affects the way we love today.

Informed by a series of questions and conversations with modern lovers the site This archive of objects/products aims to inform and open the minds of our society to these new concepts surrounding the ancient idea of love.

Whilst some of the products aim to ironically point out or mock the more serious issues that have been born out of our generation, others offer aid to the increasingly multifaceted and intricate concept of love.
